If you need the driver for the Broadcom wireless LAN, here is the link to HP support with the latest Vista driver: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/s...466325&lang=en

Thanks Pete. The help I need is with the integrated ethernet LAN. I have the driver for the WLAN.

Ouch! That would lead me to be concerned that their could still be a problem with the nic itself. Is it recognized at all under Device Manager (Network Adapters)?

Device mgr shows "Other Devices" Coprocessor, Ethernet Controller, and SM Bus controller, all with the dreaded yellow exclamation point.

chipset driver installed?

cheers ...

Yep, qhn may have it! With what you have showing "errors" it does sound as if there may be a chipset driver not installed right, or need updating.

I hope that is it, would actually be an "easy" fix!

Yeah, thought of chipset driver being poss problem. Usuallycomes on m/board installation disc, which I don't have. Where would I get the chipset driver?
Tks for your help guys.
Frank.

Can you run find updated driver while in Device Manager? Other possibility is to email/conference HP support and ask 'em. Quanta being an OEM supplier, I don't think that there is a more direct way to get 'em.
