Ok...so I need to know, by using the 1920 screen at 1440 resolution is it going to look the same as if I bought the 1440 resolution monitor? Hope this makes sense.

I have never seen a direct comparison like that, however I think it would look slightly poorer by scaling down the resolution to 1440x900 as compared to one made for that resolution. Not significantly poorer, but a little.
However, if you are to scale it down there is another resolution, you would probably be better off scaling it to 1680x1050 as it is less of a jump and the fonts should still be readable with no tampering.

Those pics compare 1280x800, 1680x1050, and 1920x1200. Though the pictures are a little blurry, it should give you a little insight into the resolutions compared to each other.

The point is, if you get a 1920 display, you should never have to scale down. If the text is too small for you to read, you can crank up the font size in Windows. I use the standard "large font" scheme, which I think is 125% of the normal font size. If that's too small for you, then you can try 140% or 160% or whatever. You'll still have all the advantages of the ultra-sharp hi-res along with more readable text.
