I have this memory installed in my Inspiron 14R. 6gb (one 2gb & one 4gb). Great performance! I highly recommend Kingston.

Well what can I say, I needed that little bit of extra storage that as a family we could all use. After searching around I narrowed it down to three suppliers, not the cheapest, but all well...

I purchased this Nook Color specifically because I was taking a very long trip to China and wanted to be able to read without carrying a ton of books. I also liked that it had email capability...

This is an awesome mouse with an excellent grip for a mid sized to large size hand. Right-handed, comfortable, trendy, upscale, red, responsive, functional, task oriented. Overall A+++

This is great ram (so far so good). Very fast and efficient Ram. Good for overclocking my Sager np8150

I'm playing AoC right now. It's a beast of a game. I've played MMO's since UO first came out eons ago - lol. This one smashes everything I've played so far IMO. The only problem is, it smashes PC's too!
I was using a 3.33ghz; 2g 667mhz dual channel ram, ATI Radeon X1300 256mb - not a beast, but it was great for everything I played. Medieval Total War II was the only thing that gave it some trouble. Never tried Crysis on it though. Played F.E.A.R, COD 4, WoW, DAoC, Tabula Rasa, Vanguard, etc.
Anyway, picked up AoC and I was only getting 3-9 fps max on this puppy - lol! So I've been looking for a laptop that would operate much better than this desktop. Reason for laptop is working offshore, traveling alot, etc.
I found this ridiculously low-priced "PWJ" Brazilian laptop for $600. I'm half-scared about it, but I'm gonna try it out anyway. This thing boasts the same specs as the Dell XPS m1730. Although I doubt for whatever reason that it will perform as good.
Here's the specs on it:
Windows Vista Home Premium
Intel Core 2 Extreme X7900 (2.8GHz/4MB L2/ 800MHz FSB)
Dual Nvidia GeForce 8700M-GT in SLI (256MB each)
Dual 200GB 7200RPM Hitachi drives in RAID 0 (striped data)
4GB DDR2-667 RAM in dual-channel
So, we'll see....

No no, I wouldn't say that. I haven't played that many MMO's. UO, DAoC, Guild Wars, SWG, Vanguard, Tabula Rasa, WoW - think that's it. But of those I've played, AoC so far has been better than any of them overall, with the exception of maybe old-school UO before Trammel. Of course I'm also still waiting to see what the Borderlands PvP will be like, then I'll be able to compare that to DAoC's epic RvR. That'll be kinda hard to beat. The graphics hands down are the best I've seen. The content is great. It's really the first game I've even paid much attention to the "lore" or "storyline", etc. And I'm not much of a "content" player. Way more of a PvPer. But in this game even the PvE is almost fun because of the totally new system of combat. You can control "where" you hit your opponents; you can actively block if you so choose to; the fatalities are sweet. There's just alot less left to chance in PvP on AoC, which is something I've been waiting for a long time. It's much more skill based rather than gear based, which is another thing I love. You'll see someone beat another player 5-10 lvls higher just because he's better at PvP. Not because he has RR12, ML10, or has uber-l33t tier5 gear.
Anyway, lots of great things so far, and more to discover as time goes on I'm sure. There are weak points of course. Every game has them. But hopefully those will be addressed as the game continues.
Will keep you posted.

If you do, feel free to look us up on the Cimmeria server. It's a PvP/RP server, but we don't get into the RP side of it. The only channels you have to obey RP rules in are the public channels. And there's an OOC (out-of-character) public channel you can use anyway. The only reason we picked the RP PvP server was due to the better rulesets that prevent people from repeated ganking, such as at spawn sites, etc.
Our site is xrl.us/aocmalta, complete with Vent, forums, the works. We're a 10-year established guild, but not with an exorbitant number of members. We like to keep it fairly small and tight-knit. Mostly more "mature" and ex-military players. We're laid back, like to have fun, but love the hell out of PvP (not ganking - big difference).
We were one of the first guilds to have our Keep built on Cimmeria, 7 days after launch, and now we're working on the rest of the guild city. Walls, Barracks, etc.
I do have to warn you tho' - your pc better be ready - lol!

Age of Conan players complain of shrunken breasts
Quote:
| Age of Conan is a great MMO that offers some new and interesting mechanics in a saturated market. But, like any post-launch MMO, it does have its fair share of problems. Funcom has been working hard to rectify the issues, and patches have been frequent thus far. One fix has the community up in arms already, though. Class balance, you wonder? No. Boob size. Community members are claiming that Funcom has silently given well-endowed characters a reduction. Complaint threads began to spring up on the official Age of Conan forums over the weekend, proving the change with screenshot comparisons. Funcom has not yet responded to complaints. In the interest of science, a screenshot comparison from my character on launch day and one taken earlier today is included above. You can click the above image for the original, but be warned that it is technically NSFW. As you can see, there's not a huge difference between the two, though one could argue that my character was a little more modest than some of my cohorts. One would hope that Funcom would be more focused on fixing some of the more important problems, like broken quests and class balancing. Update: Funcom has responded to the complaints, saying that the company "can confirm that some of the female models in the game have had the size of their breasts changed. This is due to an unintended change." The team is "working on a fix for this and your breasts should be back to normal soon." |
I couldn't help posting this. If they're this interested in fixing bewb size, the game has to be great!
