There are many laptops out there on the market today and I've decided it's time to upgrade my not so good toshiba satellite a55-s106. This time I want something powerful and out of the crowd. Here is what I have so far courtesy of xoticpc. At default it starts at $874
15.4 WSXGA 1680 x 1050 + 85$ (Would it be worth it to go down to 1280 x 800?)
Intel 2.4Ghz Penryn Core 2 Duo processor + 170$
Nvidia GeForce 8600 GT
2 GB Ram 2 SODIMMS (+40 for 3 GB Worth it?)
Dual Layer DVD +/-R/RW 5x DVD-RAM 24x CD-R/RW
160GB 5400 RPM + 30$ (For + 75$ ((45 more)) I can get 250GB 5400 RPM)
4 in 1 memory card reader SD/MMC/MS/MS Pro
Bluetooth included free
2.0 Mega Pixel camera
9-Cell battery
Fingerprint reader
Windows XP Home + 80 (>.< default comes with just drivers installed)
1 Year parts warranty
Coming to a price of $1228.99. Now this has nothing "cool" about it like no fancy colors or anything like that so it's not entirely what I want but to me it seems like a pretty nice price for the whats under the hood. But I want to hear it from the professionals. What do you guys think of this? I'm trying hard not to spend more than $1300 but am willing to go to 1400 if it's truly a great deal for what I'm getting. Thanks again guys!
EDIT: Oh I almost forgot it's a Sager NP2092 Custom built on a Compal JFL92
DBL EDIT: I forgot to add that I do game so if it's good for gaming that's a plus (Reason for the Geforce 8600)
