would you guys recommend the alienware recovery dvd? I know it has additional features but it actually the retail or OEM version of windows, or are those included with all alienware purchases? Also, you guys see any problems with this build?

its a ghost image of your OS and its the easiest way to reformat your drive and put your computer back the way it came from the factory... and no you cant get it after you get your computer you have to purchase it when you order your computer... another way of making a ghost copy of your OS is use Norton Ghost to make a copy but it will cost you 80 buck for norton...

Ok. If its not the actual OS disc i think 'ill skip it. I can always "get" norton ghost . Do you know if they include the Vista OS disc at all, or if i need to buy it separately? And i know there have been problems with the 8800's. Is the 8700 a decent card for the price?

I considered Voodoo before I purchased my first AW, at the time they had a laptop with a feature set more close to what I wanted(First gen centrino not using intel grfx, eventually I settled to go w/ intel grfx on my gen1 sentia as Im not a pc gamer I rarely if ever regretted that decision). But it came down to this, while extremely georgeous paint jobs, I wasnt about to spend 1k for a pretty paint job especially with my natural proclivity to the alien culture. I went by their site a couple weeks ago just to take a peek, and in my case its just gotten worse. While they still have some lappies with great feature sets, if you look past the paint job, imo their laptops are rather fugly. Not gunna spend an extra 1k on fancy makeup to cover up an ugly face.
