I thought they would NEVER do that.

But what does this mean for you early adopters? If they start putting games out on Blue Ray what are they going to do for you guys?

Good f'n question

I dont htink they will at first or will force a dual release, theres no way they could possibly alienate the entire customer base(not just early adopters)
Theres no way they wont piss alot of people off though who already own one even if its just movie only.

Saw some peeps claiming this is still rumor, but Toms is no rag, so IM gunna stand on thier rep for this one.

Should be interesting. They're sure its not just another external?

Toms report is that its internal.
Which will be interesting b/c 360 currently is not capable of supporting HD audio.
Wonder if this new sku will have an upgraded audio subsystem to be fully blu-capable, or will M$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ just wait 6 months and release that under a new sku.

i didnt see anything from Ballmer yet, I did see a day or two ago some manufacturer announcing in their local news that they had won a bid to build blu-ray 360's

Honestly at this point I kind of think that they would screw everyone with dual sku's. But this could be a good thing because it will also help with normal dvd play back (hopefully) which the 360 is horrible at.

I wouldn't say two years is early. They'll have an external add-on, just like the hd-dvd drive.

Now about blu-ray games? I don't know.

They'll make an add-on. It'll be like the fx chip thing on nintendo. For the uber elite fx starfox game. Or something.

my link was for which company won the bid, not on whether or not they were going to make an add-on. I'm just going by what they've done in the past. Sold an HD-DVD add-on.

So don't get your panties in a bunch.

Go figure, oh the irony.....hahaha
