Hey new here...howdy!

I have a XPS 1530, can anyone tell me what a normal start-up time should be?

Mine used to be about 45 seconds, and now it is taking almost a minute

Thanks in advance

That's what I was ranging I would love to have that range back again!

I must have added something to the start-up that is causing the lag...or, I'm being impatient

i used to be to anal about start-up time, but after a while you just get tired. my suggestion for faster start-up are

1. disable all uneeded services - blackviper.com
2. remove items in msconfig - you can use startupcpl by mike lin
3. clean your registry - jv16 2006 version is the last regcleaner that ive used and it never had a problem
4. defrag
5. search for other tips in google ie minimize number of desktop items, use classic theme and such.
