Power Inverter

Whats the proper way of using a power inverter?Do I have to worry about the car battery if were using the inverter while the car is running.I'm driving to FL and will be using laptop,ipod,etc....

no issue if the car is running. you should be ok for a while with the car off. I have run a 200watt inverter for 12+ hours before.

what wattage would you suggest to run laptop,ipod,cell phones.
