Up for sale is my Dell Inspiron 9300 Gaming Notebook. It was originally purchased in 2005 and I have treated it with great care. In terms of components, the laptop was “maxed out” at the time with all of the fastest components available at the time for it. Here are the specs:
Intel Pentium M Dothan 1.6GHZ running at 2.13GHZ [via Pinmod]
LG 17" WUXGA+TrueLife 1920 X 1200 Display
NVidia 256MB GeForce Go 7800 GTX
Hitachi TravelStar 7K100 100GB 7200RPM Hard Drive
Corsair 2GB DDR2 533 PC4200 Memory
Sony DW-D56A 8X DVD+-RW+DL
Intel 2915 802.11 A/B/G Wireless
Windows XP Media Center Edition
Creative Audigy 2 ZS Notebook Edition
So those are the specs. Sorry if it’s a bit long-winded, but in an effort to avoid lots of questions, I pretty much put into words everything someone would want to know about the laptop below. Now, of course, if any potential buyers have any further questions I’d be more than happy to answer them.
Overall the laptop is in good condition. The only cosmetic blemish is the “Inspiron” written on the lower rear of the display is starting to flake off. From what I’ve read this happens to most 9300s. Also, the Creative Audigy badge is slightly peeling on one corner.
Operation-wise the machine runs flawlessly.
- The pin-modded CPU setup should be of no concern as it has been running at the stated speeds for over 2 years without a single issue.
- The Corsair memory is rock-solid. This of course is to be expected of Corsair memory. It’s run for 48 hours in MemTest with no errors.
- The LG display remains one of the most beautiful I’ve seen to date. No dead pixels here.
- I don’t recall every burning a single coaster with the DVD burner. Runs great.
- The hard drive at 7200RPM is nice and fast and offers a good amount of storage.
- The 7800 GTX mod has everything taken care of power and BIOS-wise. Just turn on the machine and you’re ready to play.
- The wireless is quick and reliable connected to my home AirPort Express router. Haven’t had any issues with other routers either.
- Arctic Silver 5 has been applied to both the CPU and GPU.
For those wondering, I did have Windows Vista running as my day-to-day OS on this machine for about a year. Everything works great using Vista and I noticed little to no difference in speed or system lag between XP and Vista using this machine (except in gaming, duh).
The machine will ship with its original Windows XP Media Center Edition OS installed on a full clean partition. I’d be more than happy to wipe the hard drive clean at the buyer’s request.
Before shipping it will be thoroughly cleaned and dusted so you receive it as “like-new” as possible. For whatever reason, if you don’t want me to do this. Let me know, and I won’t.
What you get:
- Dell Inspiron 9300 Gaming Notebook
- 9 Cell Battery
- 120W Power Cord and Brick
- Creative Audigy 2 ZS Notebook Edition w/ the 7.1 hookup dongle
- Dell XPS Laptop Case custom designed to fit 17 inch Dell gaming notebooks (Has some minor stains from usual traveling wear and tear)
- Windows XP Media Center Edition CD with COA and Product Key
- Creative Audigy Notebook Drive and Applications CD

eBay feedback and Heatware: craptastic7
I haven’t been on the forums in awhile because I primarily use a desktop now. However, as you’ll see from my heatware and eBay I am completely trustworthy. I have sold a laptop and memory in this forum before and both were very positive transactions. Thanks for looking guys.
