The next 13.3” laptop from Dell

Hello all, very interested in picking up the M1330 but from looking at the history of Dell it seems that they usually refresh the XSP line up around July each year and introduce completely new models.


Does anyone expect them to make an exception with their current XPS M1330 machines (considering the much faster CPU’s they have been offering as upgrades lately) and continue to sell the same base laptop well past July this year?


I’m suffering from the classic buy now or wait syndrome - the question is, how long will I be waiting?

We don't know. No info has been released yet. There is a new Intel platform (Centrino 2) being released in the second half of this year, so if you don't need it immediately you can wait and see what comes out of that. Other than that, cannot offer much help, you will always be on the cusp of buying or waiting for the next best thing with computer technology.... all depends on when you need the hardware.

The only new laptops I've heard of being released this summer are the Latitude E series.

I work at trade shows for my company. While talking to a representative from Dell during a slow-traffic time of a trade show, he mentioned that Dell would be coming out with ultra-thin laptops in the summer that would compete with the Mac AirBook.

the best time to buy would be around august where u can get an idea of when or what's coming out.

honestly...the M1330 is better looking
