I have a Compaq Presario 3005US Notebook PC. It has a really loud whinning noise, I mean really really loud, and the notebook vibrates really badly. I thought it needed a new CPU / Heatsink Fan. So, I took it apart and took out the fan and spun it out of the computer with my finger, and it wasn't really making any noise. I found dust balls caked inside the heatsink and fan. I removed it all thinking that would fix the problem, but it didn't help at all. Can anyone put me on the right track? Thanks for your help and time!
