Super Talent adds 5 new solid state drives to thier product line-up. Strictly for the power user, or uBer riche.
|Project X performer, Super Talent has just unleashed a bunch of new, speedier solid state drivers, all bearing the MasterDrive brand. Using MLC and SLC NAND chips and featuring SATA II / 3.0 Gbps interfaces, the new drives, part of the MasterDrive MX and DX families, come in a 2.5-inch enclosure, are ready and willing to be put into notebooks and offer low access times, enhanced durability and up to 120GB worth of storage space.
The MasterDrive MX line-up consists of three drives with 30, 60 and 120GB capacities and read and writer speeds that top 120 MB/s and 40 MB/s respectively. These drives feature price tags of $299, $449 and $699.
Moving up in the world, the MasterDrive DX drives are equipped with SLC chips and come in two flavors - 30 and 60GB and offer transfer speeds of 120 MB/s (read) and 70 MB/s (write). The 30GB DX drive costs $699 while the 60GB model stands at $1299.
