Pcg V505dp Hard Drivre Replacement

please could some body help me on how to replace Hard drive on V 505 DP? I need some baisc technical help, if possible stepwise: please!
Also how do we reload the software again? Does the 'Normal'/Incremental backup repstore the function to normal again?
Pleeeease help!!!

I cant find that model number on Sony's site...

do you mean PCG-V505DXP?

many thanks for the help. The links show excellent photos of how to do this, but unfortunately not my model. But still I can use the tips to figure out, I guess. Much oblized.

Infact I managed to open the notebook and I can remove the old Harddrive. But I need help in deciding what is the best replacement: Obviously I do not want to use Toshiba that came with my notebook.
Please somebody help

I thought at least 100 or 120 GB would be ideal. Will it be ok to use 7200 rpm? and what other specs I need to look out for? e.g Ultra ATA/100 etc.

I saw couple of web sites: Western Digital and Hitachi. Any prefernece?

I prefer Fujitsu and Hitachi... but you'll be good no matter what vendor you choose.
