Just got my 7700 back from Depot. Works like a charm now. The guys at Alienware did well. Not only did they replace the motherboard, they also replace a stick of ram, video card and optical drive. Went from a 6800 go to 6800 ultra, guess that's a step up. Machine was 3 yrs old before it died and warranty was about to expire, so basically I have a brand new computer. Thank you Alienware. Can't wait ill I order my next one.

Nice! AW did a great job repairing my 7700 and I also got an upgrade from the 7800 to a 7900GTX. Mine is sitting on my desk in South Africa right now. I wish I had brought it with me. Runs hot! But it's still a great machine!...

Got my MJ-12 7700 mobo replaced this past summer. They scratched my case up and replaced the wrong part the first time, but at least it works again.

Wow spoke to soon...lol. After a little gaming started getting artifacting all over screen. Close down the game and ran GetThermal. Temps were way high. It cooled off and ran fine rest of evening, but next morning screen was black. After a call to AW and some trouble shooting we found that some one had put WAY to much thermal grease on Video card it was on the die and ALL surrounding contacts. Needless to say the verdict was the card had fried...so it's back to depot for another repair. Ah the life of owning the top of the line in laptops. Hoping to get it back shortly as the put an expedite on my repair. 3 yrs with out a problem has got me spoiled and I admit it. Still love my AW.

Good to hear you say this. I was furious when I got my 7700 back and scratched to he11, but I'm in the same boat - still love AW for the products they make and their promise to fix my issue as soon as I can find the time.
