Problems with booting my mALX after upgrading Office!

I just upgraded my Office2003 to Office2007 and it is creating boot problems for my mALX laptop. I cannot start the system unless it is unplugged! Does this have somehting to do with the SLI setup? Should I uninstall Office2007?
Thanks.

I can't imagine 2007 would affect the computer in that way. Could be 2007 replaced a dll associated with video card drivers? That even sounds far fetched to me. Try uninstalling and reinstalling your video card drivers.

Not gonna go that route, way too much work . Seems like sli config is very touchy with any new software that I add? I love having two graphics cards and 1gig of ram but so finnicky...is it Vista or just the nature of the beast?

I don't know what to say.... It's disappointing to hear software causes that bad of issues with your SLI setup. I've had no software issues in conjunction with SLI on my desktop, but its a desktop and not an Alienware, so that's apples to oranges.

I installed office 07 in my MALX with no issues. I do have XP Pro though. No Idea what could have caused that, did you try system restore to the point prior to your install of 07? I would try that and see if your issue goes away, then if it does, you then will have to rattle some brains at Alienware or Microsoft to find out why it is causing you the issue. There is one other thing that comes to mind, perhaps during your install, something didnt go right, and caused your issue. If you do system restore and that fixes the issue you could always try to reinstall it again from the disk. Oh, one other thing, did you install this copy on another machine to see if the problem went to that machine? Just a long shot, but it could be a bad install disk.....

Glad Alienware got it figured out for you.
