Acer - Aspire - 4315 BIG PROBLEMS!!!

Hey All,
My first post.....
So ill start with a bit of a mone if you dont mind....
.I got a Acer Aspire 4315 for Christmas this year....
It has been running great , on Vista, untill recently....
I have 2 problems:
1....
When switching on sometimes i get a blank white screen....?
I can hear it swithing on, the fan spinning and the windows welcome noise but NO SCREEN!!!
What is going on???
This also happens at random times, sometimes i think its when it gets too hot????
2.....
My Ac adapter, power suply...
When left on fora long time gets very hot? I understand that this is normal...
But why does it make a very annoying high pitched noise???
VERYY ANNOYING???

still under warranty? no need to think twice, send it in. ur ac adapter could be bad as well

Alright, yeah it is.... Cheers...
But what if this doent happen when they have a look at it and with the power lead the high pitch noise only happen when its on for a while??
Also one last question....
Will they lose any data on my laptop when they look at it???

Just wondering what else you might have plugged into the outlet with the a/C adapter. Try it in an outlet by itself. Always better to burn any files etc just incase they have to restore the HD back to factory specs. Better to be safe than sorry. Go to the Acer site and fill out the "fix my acer". Give the tech a good explaination of what the symptoms are and when. You will get a "repair number" which you affix to the shipping label

Hello, I have to have been experiencing problems not like that but screen errors. If you have an external device such as an Ipod, Thumbdrive, External Hard drive. The computer may be reading those external devices first. This is what was happening to mine it would not load. I would seriously suggest sending it in to Acer. If you are under warranty. I did this because my Lcd was falling off. WOW! You ship it in. You pay for this. I shipped priority with insurance for 16 dollars. They had it there for 3 days but it may be up to ten. Then they deliver from texas fedex ground to your part of the country. North East Takes about 4 Days. East to mid-west about 3-4 days. North west about 4-5 days. All are business so if they ship it friday you may not have it for a week. Have Fun and good luck!

I know im late but any way I have the exact acer (aspire 4315) and the adapter isnt bad. My mom has an acer also and mine and hers got so hot that the default company stickers are curling. My mom thought it would catch fire but i told her the heat was normal.

Im not able to turn mine back in be cause i installed a overclocked pentium 4 processor (because the preformance sucks enough) and so i was too stuck with the white screen of death but i found the (not cure) but reason. There is a top cover below the screen but above the speakers. i removed that and there was what looks like a plugin so when i unpluged it the screen and screen light want off. i looked at the plug and it had a black and brown wire loose. (the problem). I placed them back in and now it works. partialy. it still dies out every 2 minutes. i wanna blow my brains out. MOM CAN U GET ME THAT NEW ALIENWARE M17X!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
speaking of that i told my mom to get me this http://vip.asus.com/forum/upload/336123175610.jpg because its only $500 and its kickass on the go. NOOOOO she got this turd for $900 because she thought price meant better for gaming. NOOB MOTHER!!!!!
