Officially going "Green". Meaning no more power hungry machines. But if that is the case, Montevina is just the chip to do it.
Less power, less heat, and if Michael can and he will, stick them in lappys. Make them quad because that's what the Monte is really for.
Do away completely with Desk Tops because they take up more heat, plastic, space, need a monitor and use way more power than the lappy.
We are not talking gamers, but heavy business and professional use. So if he retracted he did so on the industry not XPS.
Just an update on the verbage being used at Dell:
"And XPS gaming systems will remain an important part of our gaming product portfolio. We don’t plan an early phase-out of these systems as the WSJ incorrectly stated, and in fact will continue to refresh them to keep them on the front edge of gaming:"
Meaning that yes they will be pumping more $$ into AW for gamer development, and "refresh" XPS, meaning lean and green evolution. But the "Phase out" of the XPS as we all know it will happen if not next month but soon after.
How can you keep the "Front Edge", if your pumping it into AW, or have they begun to turn AW into Dell?
