WTB: ipod speaker dock station

Looking for the BOSE sound dock station with built-in battery, or preferably the iM600 from Altec Lansing. If you have this or something similar (must have AC/DC power option), let me know how much less you will let it go from what it’s selling for in the stores?

May I suggest possibly, the Altec Lansing iM7. Although it lacks a radio, I have this item, and absolutely love it. The Ipod is protected inside the device in a little pop out area. The sound is phenomanal (sp?). as well, it can be run on batteries, and also comes with a wireless remote. You can't go wrong with the iM7 (unless you must have a radio.

Just a suggeestion, I hope you find what you need.

Now if it only sold in local stores, I would be able to compare the sound to that of the Bose sound dock. But reading over the reviews, it scored higher in overall sound and bass quality. Altec Lansing iM600 is out of the question, as it sounded really poorly in the store today. I must have something comparable to the sound dock, or the sound dock itself. I’ve loaded 12 movies, and around 27 albums thus far, and I want great sounding speakers.

Well I can definetly atest to the sound quality of the iM7. I simply hooked it to the headphone jack of my TV, and it makes watching movies so much better!!
