Qosmio F15-AV201 problem

I have run into an issue with a F15-AV201. I have replaced the hard drive and am recovering the system. According to the documentation with the Qosmio Player recovery disks, I have to run the Player patch when the Winodws recovery finishes, then install the Player itself.

Well the System recovery went smoothly but when I run the Player patch CD, it deletes the partition and installs the patch. Now the system recovery is wiped out.

Am I doing this in the wrong order? It clears states on the card that you must recover Windows before running the patch follow with the actual player install.

would much rather that you post how you were able to solve it in case someone else has a similar problem. They can benefit from your experience.
