Help Sound driver and advise for sony VGC-LA38G

Hi to all,

I have recently down grade from window Vista to XP for my Sony VGC-LA38G. I tried but unable to get my sound to work even after installing UAA, IDT(from windows)-giving code 10 error and install Conexant HSF Generic HDA Modem Driver but still the pc sound unable to work.
Pls advised.
