Screen setup for Gateway SOLO 5300

Someone please help...I have Gateway SOLO 5300 running Windows XP. The LCD screen with this notebook no longer works but the system itself is running fine using VGA cable to a flatscreen TV. My problem is that I am trying to enable the settings to use the yellow TV out jack at rear of notebook so that it can be used with a different TV which only has yellow video jack as input. I have tried Gateway support but had a hard time finding tabs they were telling me to look for such as monitor type selections and manufacturer settings and the elusive S3 DuoVue tab. Is it possible to be using an external monitor AND try to set up the TV out jack at the same time??

i haven't seen an output parallel to vga and s-video at the same time; it is one or the other, but not both at the same time.

if u want multi-monitors set up, try look into VTBook product. I use one myself time to time

I dont actually want to run both moitors at the same time, but since my primary monitor is running with the VGA cable, I need to view that monitor for the purpose of seeing how to set up the tv out jack in order to view computer on another tv which only has yellow input jack....ya know what I mean??

i see what u mean ... it is still going back to getting signals out of both ports (vga and s-video) at the same time, however u want to phrase it.

hopefully some other users can come up with tips for this.

I too am trying to get the RCA tv jack to output video - -and its not working. I finding no S3DuoVue tab anywhere in the diplay setup. I'm using win XP on my Solo 5300 - I fear that this platform [XP] just does not support Generic TV. Did you ever get the video to work on your Solo 5300 and if so how? Please help I'm dying to find out.
