Intermittent problem - screen flickers and goes green or scrambles and goes black.

I'm a Rookie - I'm not sure where or how to attach my system spec from dxdiag

if you have access to an external monitor, try hooking your computer up to that and see if it does the same thing. If it does, then your video card is shot. If it looks fine on the external, then your notebook screen is shot instead.

edit: just noticed that you said it was intermittent. If it doesn't happen all the time, then it's possible you just have a loose cable connected to either your video card or your notebook screen. If you try the above test and it looks fine on the external, then a first step would be to check to connections of the cable between your video card and notebook screen.

Checked on alt monitor seems fine.
Unable to get the same fault on either screen.
I will check the connections.
