possible to switch from duo to quad on m1210?

just a thought. assuming that the processor on the m1210 is not solder, would it be possible to switch the processor to a quad core? they are the same pin size and i think if i some how i find a better cooling system and bump the power it might work, but maybe this sounds TOO simple to do. i currently have the 2.0ghz t7200 cpu. let me know what you guys think. will the bios recognize and run (also stable)?

No, the m1210 only supports socket M cpus, meaning up to the T7600 (dual core). There are no socket M quad core CPUs

As above. You were thinking desktop CPU, which are not compatible.

i'm just wondering... there's any precaution before to attempt to swap the cpu in this model?

I got a t5600 at 1.83ghz, can I install that t7600 whitout problem???

thanks in advance

I would update your BIOS to the latest revision before doing any CPU swap. This ensures that your board won't have troubl recognizing the CPU.

It should be fine. Just remember, you will probably have to apply some thermal paste (like Arctic Silver 5) to the new CPU when you install it. Other than that, is very straight forward. Will take a little longer than normal booting up the first time as it recognises new hardware, but should be right to go.
