I have read many reviews from this site and decided to register and see if you guys could help me with my current situation. I'm hoping this is the correct place to post this type of question if not please let me know.
I purchased a hp 2745 se back in January of this year it is 2.0 dual core amd system, 3 gigs of ram, nvidia 7150 graphics, 250 gig 5400 rpm hard drive. I have decided to sell it and get either a much more powerful inter c2d system or a mbp, now here is my problem I have been wanting a mac for awhile and the mbp is nice and I believe it would suit most of my needs which are web programming, photos, music, video conversion. On the other hand I am in school for Computer information systems and I don't think it will be to great for windows programming and I would like to be able to play the latest games also, even though in reality I will probably not game much if at all. The scariest thing to me is after many reviews and youtube videos I have seen a lot of macs with similar issues and complaints and this makes me wonder about their reliability. On the pc side I am interested in the xps 1530 fully loaded expect for blueray and a few other features, thinkpad t61p or t61, and the hp 9700 series. Looks are not super important but It would be a perk for me if it was stylish like the 1530 or the mbp. I'm going crazy trying to figure out which way to go with this please help any way you can.
