As far as i know there isn't any 15" with two hdd. This is because there isn't enough space for two hdd.

There is so much packed today inside a 15" laptop that there are none with two internal HDD's. If that were to be done with today's technology you would need to make way too many sacrifices in regard to ports, functionality and power.

The only way to have dual hard drives on a 15 incher would be via the smart bay.

The HP DX6650 has 2 harddrive bays. It looks almost identical to the DV6000.

I gotta question why do u need 2 hd? like how much space do u need? You can get around 320 gb 5400 for fairly cheap, and if not you can always get laptop hd enclosure and carry it around with u also. If you need space divided up u can also partition the drive too.

The Dell business 14 & 15" notebooks [latitude and precision]have a modular hard drive option available, that replaces the optical drive.

For a 15" the Dell Latitude D830 and Precision M4300 have the option of a modular bay hard drive. Now if you don't want to get the bay drive from Dell, you can get enclosures from eBay for either PATA or SATA drives and just toss in any drive of your choosing.

Actually, Pro Tools does not support recording to the system drive.

You can partition a single disk and do your recording to the alternate partition, the non system drive.

Not sure if you gave that a shot yet, but they do recommend (for max performance) you do all recording to a separate 7200 RPM physical disk, not just a separate partition.

Other then that I think the AW m15x /w smart bay drive is your best bet w/o going for an external drive.
