im new to notebook forums, so please bear with me if i make any mistakes.
first of all i had bought a dell inspiron notebook with nvidia 8600m gt. it had vista in it, and i dint like it, also couldnt install xp in it, so i returned it cos hp guys promised me, that hp pavilliion dv9500t (with 8600m gs) will allow me to install xp. and guess what, i cant install xp in that also. so im stuck with hp dv9500t with nvidia 8600m gs which sucks cos im a hardcore gamer.
now, what i want to ask is, should i sell my current laptop and buy one with nvidia 8800m gtx , or should i wait till nvidia launches series 9 gfx cards for laptop. im highly confused.
also my laptop config is as follows:
- HP Pavilion dv9500t CTO NB
- Intel(R) Core(TM) 2 Duo processor T7500 (2.20 GHz, 4 MB L2 Cache, 800MHz FSB)
- 17.0" WXGA+ High-Definition HP BrightView Widescreen Display (1440 x 900)

- 511MB NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GS
- Webcam + Microphone

how much do you guys think my laptop will sell for?? when will nvidia 8800m gtx become obsolete? is it worthwhile to buy nvidia 8800m gtx now ? or should i wait till nvidia 9 series.
also, is there any laptop under $2000 which has nvidia 8800m gtx which i can buy? please help, thanks in advance.
