Dual Pipe on my E1705

Hi There,

I know I can use a dual pipe on the E1705 with a minor modification, my question is:

I have a 7900 GS Single Pipe. I found a bad 7800 Dual Pipe on Ebay for E1705, if I buy it, can I remove it from the card and attach it to my 7900 GS?

The 7800 GS on the E1705 never had dual pipes. The only video cards with dual pipes where on the XPS line.

Indeed the 7800 never had a dual pipe, only XPS lines and FX*500M Quadro cards, not sure about the FX1500M though

Couldn't you get a bad 7800GTX and take the whole unit off that?

If you can track down the 7900GS Dual Pipe Assy then you would have no doubts about it fitting thast card.

Anything else is a gamble.

i do have a 7900GS that i modded the bios on so that i can overclock using the ati tool and not have to do the bios mod everytime and 7900GS works great my 7800 i had nothing but problems stay away from them unless you are getting them for 50-60 bux
