Hi everyone,

I am interested in buying a new laptop and was considering a Toshiba, I was wondering does anyone have any opinions on the A305-S6837?

It would be my first notebook purchase because I'm really not a fan I prefer the real estate on a desktop.

Have found this review and it seems like a fairly decent one any opinions?

It would be a big help if you were to tell us what you planned on using the notebook for ie. school, web browsing/email, photo editing, gaming etc

Hi sorry,

Yeah it was initially my intention to buy for college work, but I play a lot of games so if it was up to the task then happy days.

I also do some photoshop stuff but I cant imagine that I'd want to spend too much time on photos on a laptop.

I don't really want to go overboard on the price either.

Any help would be great

For serious gamers, laptops are not the way to go unless you want to drop some reasonably serious money. The graphics chip as mentioned in the article is weak for any good gaming. You would want one which has dedicated memory of at least 512MB (like a GeForce 8600M GT for example). I would suggest getting what you need for college and leave the gaming to your desktop. Much cheaper
