Hey guys I was hoping someone could help me with two problems.
1) For about 4 months now (and with absolutely no useful help off the tech guys at PC world) my laptop is unable to go into 'sleep' or 'hibernation' mode. When the laptop goes to sleep, it turns its self off completely. When I switch the laptop back on the windows error not shut down properly screen appears and I have to click on start windows normally. This then takes about 20 attempts as the laptop keeps freezing at certain points.
The laptop works fine if shut down properly, and has no other problems so it is a funny one. Anyone have any ideas what I can do? I’ve tried system restore and started fresh but still the same problems.
2) There has always been a high pitch noise coming from the laptop since I bought it a year ago. It seems to be getting progressively worse though. I thought it may be the fan, but when I plug the speakers in you can hear the same noise but 10 times louder. Anyone have any ideas what the problem is?
