IBM R50 Speakers, how good?

Does anybody have experience on how good IBM R50 speakers are? Good enough for watching DVD movies and listening to music? The quality of speakers are one thing you cannot read from specs.

speakers on R50P

Tommi,

I got myself a R50P a month ago. As far as speaker quality, I won't say they are for multimedia or entertainment use. Remember this lappie was designed for productivity use. I tried on DVD movies, it was ok, but I wouldn't raise the volume on it, unless you want to blow them already.

My advice just plug external speakers.

Thanks! Perhaps IBM isn't a laptop that I'm looking for, since a large WVA screen, fairly good speakers, and fairly good mobility are top priorities...
