Hi I Am .kinda A New To Alienware Technology Here ..havin Problem Hope You Guys Can Help Me Out ... To
Login To The Support Area Of The Alienware Website .. The Account Number Of My Laptop Is Needed .. I Use
A Old Alienware 766sn3 Laptop And I Have No Idea Of Where My Invoice Bill Is .. I Heard That Only The
Invoice Bill Has The Account Number .. Is That True Or Is There Any Sticker Or Anything Like A Service
Tag( Like The Ones Used In Dell Computers) ..so That I Can Login To The Support Area ..

if you have ur alienware area-51 card that gives you the CS number and Technican number on it... then it will list your account number... It a white card that looks like a credit card... also if you cant find it call alienware and tell them u lost ur number and give them ur other info so they can find your account... I had to do it when i was in school because I didnt have my account number at college and it was at home...

I thought logins expire when your paid warranty ran out, but someone might be able to speak on that as I am unsure.

the problem is my uncle gave me this laptop .. which was given to him by his company .. now he is not workin there anymore and he doesnt have the invoice bill or does not know on who's name the system is registered in .. and on top of that i am in india right now ..this laptop was bought from usa and there is no alienware support line in india or even an alienware service depot or something like that .. kinda rendered powerless here frankus

You do have lifetime membership on the forums if you're the original purchaser. When your warranty runs out, you lose phone tech support, but the forums are lifetime.

The only thing you'll get with a sign in is access to the my hive section where your purchases will be listed, bios updates and the owners manual for the system. Everything else, from software to drivers is available on the driver download page without signing in.

I don't know where you could get your customer number if you don't have the original paperwork, or you don't know who the original purchaser was. You can try calling customer service and see if they can get your info for you from the serial number on the back of the laptop.

When the machine is originally shipped, there is a link on the desktop for computer information. It's a link to a text file somewhere on the c drive that's basically a receipt with a run down of the hardware in the system. I can't remember if that has the info in it or not... If you have a respawn disc, you can load that and check the link.

The manual link is in the my hive section under the laptop invoice number... It's a generic manual though, one for all the laptops so it's not specific technically.

They do ship documentation with the original computer though. Should be a black binder with all the info in it.
