I use XPS M1530 with Vista Ultimate.
It still new, I've just purchased it on the 1st of May.

Specifications:
Intel T9300
4GB RAM
6-cell 85 WHr battery

Yesterday I use my battery. It has been fully charged 100%.
I use my laptop to play music.
The power plan setting was:
Turn off screen after 5 minutes
PC Sleep after 15 minutes.

My questions are:
1. When the PC going to enter SLEEP mode and when I WAKE it, the song I played experienced a little lag and it was exactly when I move the mouse to WAKE it up.
2. It was also happen when the screen is OFF and I want to turn it on by moving the mouse.
3. Is it normal?
4. If it is a problem, what cause it and what is the solution?

Thank you.

ABOUT SLEEP and SCREEN OFF

1. Does this lag / skip problem will affect the hardware? like CPU or RAM or the harddrive? Will it broke the components?

2. I think I will not use the SLEEP state mode. Is there any other solution than this?

Thank you.

It won't hurt the hardware.
