m6809 Any concerns with..

Thread Starter
I'm tired of waiting for Alienware to jump on the 64-bit. So I plan to buy the M6809. All I'll really be using it for is games and movie watching on the go. This is my first notebook. Will this machine have any problems playing Call of Duty, Far Cry, Doom III, or Half Life 2? I don't expect the highest framerate ever, just about 30-60 fps is good enough for me. Who sells this lappy?

Thanks

i get 30-65 on far cry..

i get more like 60-90 on CoD (awesome game)

UT2k4 I get 60-90 as well.. i think far cry is coded particularly badly.

Well....If I can ever FIND an M6809 for sale at best buy

HAs anyone put Any for the Flight sim stuff on it? FS2K2 or FS2K4? How does the 68009 handle them?

Thanks,

How are the new rubberize palm wrests? I borrowed my friends M6805 and using the touchpad (while laptop was sitting on lap), my wrists started aching as if no where to rest my wrists on the edge of the laptop bezel... Do the new palm wrests server for functional purposes?

Far cry demo on Medium setting, I'm getting around 30-40FPS, when there's action it drops to 18-24 or so on my 6805. I hope the full version is optimized better.
