One thing I did notice about ATI though, it seemed to have better color and image clarity (could be mostly the drivers). I noticed this when I did my x300 to 7800GTX switch on my 9300. It could of been my imagination, but I really though it made some difference.

Better IQ/color saturation has always been a plus for ATI. You have to edit nVidia profiles quite a bit to get to the same level as ATI.

And the Mobility 38xx is probably not going to be as impressive as a Mobility 48xx in maybe six months. The rumor is the GT200 is going to be a turkey for nVidia, and they're already taping out the GT200b to rectify the GT200's problems.
