maximum ram for m1210?

I have an M1210 and I want to know what is the maximum amount of RAM I can put in it? I currently have 2x1Gb DDR2-667MHz and I want to upgrade to 2x2Gb same spec but I've read that in some cases, XP will only recognize up to 3Gb. Here are the specs of my laptop:

. u might be able to go up to 4gigo
. normal XP = 2 gigo is plentiful, 4gigo is not a waste but if u r not planning to use 64bits OS, then save the $$ for something else

The 945PM chipset only has 4GB of addressable memory space due to the fact that chipset also has to support 32bit only CPUs. You can install 4GB, but will only see roughly 3.25GB and can only use that much. It's a chipset limitation, even with a 64bit OS it won't change.
