Dell Latitude c600

hello i have a dell c600 and iv been wanting to upgrade it so i can sell it, not to sure how much it would be worth anyway. but here are the specs on it

850mhz processor
256megs ram
20 gig harddrive
Ubuntu 8.04 for the OS

iv tried to look up what kind and how much i can upgrade on it, so far i havnt found much of anything that helps. id like to put a 1.6ghz celeron or something in there to give it a speed boost, and more ram not sure how much it can hold. and possibly a bigger hardrive. i mostly use it for internet and chatting i have my desktop for games so i have no use for my laptop for gaming. any info would be much abliged.

I got one of those for my sister about three months ago for like $150.

Not much you can get for it now but it makes for a nice office/internet machine. It can run Windows XP too.

I think you can upgrade it to up to 1GB, and I've seen hard drives of up to 300GB, my sister's computer came with a DVD unit so you can also try finding one of those as well if yours didn't come with it.

However, if you're willing to spend around $400 in upgrades I think you're better off buying a newer laptop with better technology. You can also keep the Latitude around for smaller tasks.
