Major board manufacturers showcase their X58, Socket 1366 boards - giving a clear indication that they're ready for Nehalem.
|While cards that will be introduced in under two weeks (GeForce GTX 280/260, Radeon HD 4850/4870) are not publicly showcased at Computex, the Taiwan trade show can pretty much spoil the tech enthusiast with the number of Intel X58 motherboards available. X58 codenamed Tylersburg, is Intel's own Socket LGA-1366 chipset which will be used for the Bloomfield platform. Bloomfield systems will become a reality in Q4 and will consist of an X58 motherboard, triple-channel DDR3 memory and a quad-core, eight threaded Nehalem processor.
Still over a quarter away from release, the X58 seems to be quite the favorite play thing for motherboard manufacturers with almost all the major companies having board designs ready as seen below. There's not much more to say here, just contemplate and remember to save those pennies.
