Why is surfing the internet so much laggier...

on my computer than my sister's computer? We are both wirelessly connected to the same router (Comcast internet). But, yet, sometimes some sites come up very slowly for me, on my laptop. They load up much more quickly on my sister's computer even though my laptop has more memory, hard drive, gpu, and cpu. Also, I really don't run many other programs/applications while I surf the web.

Oh yeah, when I browse the web on my desktop, that has a cord connected to the router, it is much faster than when I surf the web on my laptop with a cord attached to the router.

maybe switch browsers? check for malware?

2 laptops bog out your router

what kinda router?
stock settings?

i had a 7 inch EEEpc and my MSI laptop hooked up to wifi, i wasnt even doing anything with the EEE and the MSI was sooooo slow

stock settings on a WRT54gs Linksys with out tomato


if you have a linksys router that will work with tomato, id say go for that, helps with a better faster cleaner connection
