I seriously doubt that Yang will have anything to worry about there.

Very true. Will have been married for 9 years next week and it has been great. It is a lot of work, but worth it.

You will never have to worry about the hand lotion.

Well, I’ve been happily married for 9 years now and i have to agree with HH…
I’m averaging a new AW notebook every 1.5 years and the only time sex comes into the picture is when alcohol is involved (thankfully it’s bi-monthly!)

i would hope not, though if you notice AW's lineup has shrunk since the dell merger too.

being that im somewhat looking at an ultraportable i would be tempted by the voodoo but then i am in need of that level of portability.

roma tomatoes or cherry tomatoes?
I'm in the market for an ultraportable. This one looks good, but other than that, it doesn't have all that much going for it.

The downside to the MacBook Air is it doesn't have a very powerful processor, and it doesn't have an internal optical drive -- same issue here.

Looks to me like Asus and Dell might have the best lightweights.

As for what this says for future Voodoo 15" and 17" models ... don't really see any correlation.
if you are buying an ultra portable the whole limited performance aspect of the processor isnt likely a huge issue for you anyway. optical there is a way around... not that big an issue.

price isnt that bad since at ~ 2k its only about 200 more than the air starting price in canada.

as for the tomato issue. roma for most things cherry for a select few.

The MacBook is not bad for the price. Has good battery life, has the power, has all the ports you need as opposed to MacAir and is under $1300. And is great with travel.

Some other thin and light & ultraportable notebooks

cnet calls the mac book think and light, not ultra portable.

PS, this is a very recent review. Top right says it was updated June 09.......

I guess to answer what VooDoo will do with their 15 & 17" Just take a look at these manfactures 15 & 17" PC, sould give a ballpark.

I have a MacBook ... it's fine, but it's not that much lighter than the MacBook Pro (15" model).

@Fidget ... the 1.6 / 1.8 GHz processor will be fine, just would prefer more, particularly for photoshop and a bit of multitasking. My husband just got the Asus U6 with a 2.1 GHz processor. I'm going to see how he likes it. The screen is actually a little small for my taste, which is why I keep leaning to the MacBook Air.

Work arounds for the optical drive are obviously not difficult.

Squeeze a slot load drive and a little more horsepower into it, I think its pretty damn sexy....especially the black!!!

While its of course a matter of taste, I cant understand anyone not thinking its very sexy considering the usual crap laptop chassis' that are still being pored out from companies.....

Carbon Fiber..... while Id have to hold it myself to see, I can only imagine its light and sturdy
Does AW offer Any led lcd's yet?
