you can really judge your PC's gaming power running a 3dmark06, its free and can be found here

It basically runs some graphic tests on your system and gives you a score. Your rig with 2x 8800m GTX's should just play own.

But i'd love to hear anything on this guy 0 reviews out yet...

yea i wanna hear something about this laptop like reviews and more pics and what not because i need something to hold me up until i get it myself

mine is sitting at phase 6 atm and i should have it by next friday and should have pics up and prolly an unboxing by next sunday.

yea i konw i went for the 8700m the 8800s are backordered and im not going to be gaming too intensely (just some WoW and some FPSs) if need be can always buy em later and pop em in. well anyways if anybody can put up any videos of the unboxing or more pics i would love to see it

My m17x just went from Phase 5 this morning to Phase 7. 11:43am EST. I opted for the Dual Solid State Drives over the 8800GTX because I expect the overall system performance to gain tremendously from those drives. I am also interested in OfficerNick's review to see if I should have spent the extra $700 on the 8800. That would have topped 7G's though so....

nice i needed the space more than the speed so i opted for the 500GB anyways mine just jumped from phase 6 to 8 this morning love it and it looks like its right on track for its shipment date of tusday or wednesday cant wait

very cool /w your dual SSD. i was very tempted to get 1 in my m15x, I'm one of very few who only needs 60GB . but, I'm just not doing enough disk I/O intensive work to justify it (yet), only gaming

but dam i want to see some pcmark results on the bad boy.

Yeah the SSD's should be nice but not enough space for me either. That's why I opted also for the 500Gb Smartbay drive. I'll load OS and Apps on the SSD's and Data on the 500. I hope the Orion backpack has a place to store a smart bay drive so the blu-ray burner doesn't get banged around too much.... we'll see soon I hope!

aww man that sucks it happens though wouldnt you rather have a computer that works properly or one that messes up they probably found a fault when they went into phase 7 so they had to go back to phase 6 it has happened to alot of people

well im guessing the main reason for your delays is the illuminated keyboard because many ppl who ordered the laptops with those it took them longer to get their laptop. I got my laptop without illuminated keyboard on july 9th and it shipped out on july 14th with pretty much the same specs other than the T9500 and the SSDs

All of you who have received notice of your m17x shipping SUCK. LOL. If my order goes past the projected ship date I may have to cancel my illuminated keyboard as well.
