Hinge is getting looser and looser... help

I have a 2.5 year old m680xl laptop... everything is fine on the laptop except the hinge... its not cracked or anything... no visible physical damage...

but it is getting looser and looser over the months.... im not exactly sure where to tighten it..

i dont know how to explain where its getting is loose... basicly when i open and close the lid.... for like half an inch there is free play on the hinge action.


any suggestions?.... im afraid its going to get bigger and bigger.

. take the lcd apart and you should be able to see them

once i take the lcd apart... what am i looking for?...

is it something that needs to be replaced?

it depends! once u took the lcd/frame apart, u must see and be able to access the hinges - as shown on the guide itslelf. Share some pics. Sometimes they just just need to be retightening (but NOT overdo it)

also, search the forum for "hinges" - there are loads of info there as well
