On Screen volume display

Hey Everyone,

I have an Acer 5672. It has the media keys on the left side of the keyboard where i can control the volume, stop, pause etc. I reformatted my machine and reinstalled XP Pro. When i use the media keys there is no display on the screen of what i am doing. What i mean is before if i turned the volume up or down it would display on the screen and you would see like a volume bar moving up or down. How do i get that back? Thanks.

try loading the acer launch manager and other empowering utilities and see if it comes back.

Just had to sort that out on my new Acer. Reinstall Launch manager by going to Acer empower technology/reinstall components/contents/ then find launch manager and select.
