7700 case, different mobo

I am a noob, I"ll admit it, but I have a 7700 and I really don't want to put a 900T or D900K. Can't I use the shell and put something else in there, or is that just impossible.

I've built desktops and media centers, but never a notebook, it wasn't worth it till I got a 3K paperweight. It was an intel, and I know I can get a 900T to replace it, but lets face it, how long will that really work?

SO anyone who has looked at mobos, is there a reason I need to get a D900, or are there other options?

TIA

AFAIK, it is very unlikely that another make/model motherboard will work.

I would go for an AMD mobo if I was you...

No other mobo's will fit. The motherboard and case are made together as a package from Clevo.

Personally, I'd sell it and start over with a new platform...

Yep, bought a new mobo and rebuilding it. Gonna sell it and start over. (Building a LinuxMCE media center now anyway) So maybe this will fund that
