Does the UK version of the 5520 come unlocked for all networks? ALso, does it work on the m1530? Its not in the list of compatible devices on Dell's website. But I think it works.

Another thing? How come the BIOS has a option to enable and disable cellular even though as far as I know I have got cellular?

Because your laptop has the option of cellular. Rather than tooling a different BIOS for a different load-out it's one-size fits all. Regardless of your laptop having such an option installed or not, the option to disable it is there.

Thanks guyz.
I found one from ebay for around £80 that works with all networks. Its quite cheap. Normal price in UK is around £140. ANd if I went for the dongle supplied by the network I d have to pay £40 minimum. And I think the dongle is locked. Installing is easy I think. From what I've read It's just a matter of installing the generic 5520 driver rather than the Vodaphone, ect. branded drivers and then putting the correct settings.
I already have the sim card. Got it for £1.99. Price plan is quite cheap. £15 for 3gb without a contract from the 3 network. Does anyone know the correct settings for the network 3 in the UK?
Hopefully I ll have my 5520 by Tuesday and I ll let you guyz know how it goes.

Good News! It works! The installation of the hardware was quite tricky because dell didnt tidy up the wi-fi card's cables properly. So I had to disconnect the wifi and put the cables properly so that I can make room for the 5520's cables. Theres also limited room for the cables so you have to bend the metalic tip of the antenna in some of the cables. Thats a bit tricky as well. The software and the settings were really easy.
First of all look for the generic 5520 driver. Not the branded (Vodafone, etc.)

Install the driver before the hardware just in case.
After installation all you have to do is create a new profile and put the APN in the settings. For 3 UK network the APN is : three.co.uk
Thats it!
