m50Sv-b1 new owner with software ?

Thread Starter
Greetings

I just purchased the assus laptop and am wondering about a couple of things.

1. Should I reload Windows to get rid of the preloaded software?

2. Can I load my own copy of Office Professional XP and will it be compatible with the Vista operating system.

3. I only need Outlook so if there are compatible programs I can sync with my HTC Touch or Palm Tungston please let me know.

Regards

1.) That's your call. If you feel there are programs slowing down your computer, then by all means get rid of them. If everything runs fine, then there is no reason to reinstall the OS.

2.) Windows XP and Windows Vista are different operating systems. They cannot be run simultaneously unless you use virtualization software such as VMware. However, they use the same file system, so if you had XP installed on one hard drive partition and Vista installed on another, then you would still be able to access your XP files in Vista and your Vista files in XP.

3.) I don't know that one. Sorry!
