8600m gt ram

Is the dedicated ram on the 8600 in the m1530 ddr2 or ddr3?
it's DDR2. The only GDDR3 versions of the 8600M GT are in the Apple Macbook Pro and Asus G1S & G2S

wow, gay. how well does the ddr2 version compare to the ddr3 version?

and this article claims that the ram is gddr3 and has a cpuz screenie of it http://www.notebookcheck.net/Review-...ok.7295.0.html any comments?

CPU-Z (as well as its off-shoot GPU-Z) isn't generally the most accurate program. Someone on the NBR forums ran it on an Asus Lamborghini VX2 and it said the 8600M GT on that was GDDR3 also, but it wasn't.

That is not correct.
M1530 has GDDR3 memory on 8600M GT, Inspirons have GDDR2.

It says GDDR3 in the users manual. Not to mention, memory overclocks a lot higher than Inspiron 8600M GTs which is only possible with DDR3.
Also, GPU-Z is pretty accurate.
