How old is your laptop? My E1705 was bought 2.5 years ago with a 4 year warranty. After the 4 year warranty expires, I think I'll get another Dell laptop with a 4 year warranty again! I can't live without my warranty, as I have had an accident repair, screen replacemnet, bad video card 4 times, and laptop rebuilt!

I've had my I9300 since April of 2005. I think the screen is original lol

Upgraded Video Card (from 6800 to 7800GTX)
Replaced Motherboard (Power connector broke)
Upgraded RAM, 3 times (now 2GB DDR2-4200)
Upgraded Processor (went from 1.73Ghz to 1.7Ghz Pinmodded @2.26Ghz)
Upgraded HDD, twice (From lamer 4200RPM 40GB to Hitachi 40GB 7200RPM to 100GB Seagate 7200RPM)
Added Bluetooth
Replaced both fans....

I have a Toshiba Satellite... 5 years exactly, and it's still working (the right and up arrow keys don't work, but that's it). One optical drive replaced under warranty, on the first month.
