HP Special edition laptops - VERVE EDITION??

Hi! I was looking at HP's Verve edition 14'' laptops for a while and when I just was almost sure I want one, I saw several "real life pictures" where these laptops look more brown or more bright brown than as they are displayed by HP! If somebody owns some Verve Edition laptop, could you please either post "real life" photos or email them to me: jurypn@inbox.lv

Thanks in advance! Your help would be very valuable in determing my final choice!

You're telling me you're willing to pay $200 more for a color? Try google image searching? Looking on wiki? I'll give you a hint....everything you ever wanted to know about anything is somewhere on the internet.

I have searched the net and there are quite few "real life" images. Concerning the price - I have checked that after rebates it is 10$ difference for the color, not 200 as you say, so yes, I am willing to pay those 10$ to have a laptop that differs from the laptops of other HP users - we have lots of HP Pavilion "simple" laptops in our university.

If you found other pictures online, then why are you asking for more here?

Believe me, having a different colored laptop will not make you look any cooler on a university setting where most people have computers that are many years old and simply don't care what other people have. Call me old-school (even though I am college-age), but a laptop is a tool, not a fashion statement.....you want to make a fashion statement....get a desktop where there is some horsepower to back up the paint job. I'm sure I can insert a slam against macs in here *cough* overpriced/worthless.

Well, I don't have any pictures, but the one I saw did not look brown/bright-brown.

Having said that, I was not terribly impressed with the color scheme...I do not have anything against different colors/designs, but sometimes this stuff is a little distracting, IMHO.

Of course, unlike dr/owned...I really AM "Old School"!!!

Hmmm, "Do-it-Y'erself" style...nice!

I am kind of in both camps on notebook color and style...I do not mind the utilitatrian "industrial gray" look, but equally, I like variety...to each his/her own!

Although I did not buy my DV series Pavillion with appearance in mind, I like the radience design, and it does look nice sitting on my desk...
