Portege M600-02L00X Cursor Problem

Hi,

Is there any people out there has experienced cursor problem on the model Portege M600-02L00X.

The notebook is brand newly purchased with OS downgraded to Windows XP Professional and MS Office 2007 installed.

When ever using MS Words, Outlook, Outlook Express...., the cursor ocassionally jumps here and there in a random manner. I cannot type fast as I will erase the words I just typed when the cursor jump up.

I have expereinced similar problem 8 years ago with my Dell Latitude notebook and the problem was fixed by downloading the hotfix from Dell.

I have browsed through the support and download website at Toshiba but can hardly get anything relevant there. I have called up the local support in HK, but no reply since they took the compliant.

The HK support is terrible. Anyway, forget it. Just want to know if there is brother outthere can help!!

Have tried installing the latest xp driver for the touch pad but the situation remain unchanged and likewise using an external keyboard.

Any other suggestion to help killing this cursor "random jumping" problem?

I need to pay special attention on typing now and cannot type fast.....
