Satellite L310: Built-in microphone volume

Notebook Model: Toshiba Satellite L310
OS: Win XP SP2
Program: 1) Windows sound recorder 2) Toshiba Camera Assist

Problem: When I record the sound through built-in microphone located near the web cam, the volume is very very less. If I speak very close to that mic then it is slightly better.

When I use an external mic then the record volume is OK.

I have increased the mic recoding volume to maximum, tried various enhancements settings like VoIP, Speech etc., but the problem is not solved.

Pl. help to solve the problem

u have the latest driver for the device?

Yes. I have downloaded & installed the latest driver from http://www.pc.toshiba-asia.com. It is Satellite / Satellite Pro L310 XP: Audio Driver

i can only suggest, doing next, trying latest update from windows as well and see.
